IDW vocals. New vs Old.

I'm going to get crucified for this but honestly, I like Jamie a lot more than Johnathan.

Anyways: What's everyone elses opinion on that matter?

Jaime is the new Vox Right? I like his vocals in IDW, really fits perfect I think, Jon's voxs where really good too, but I feel it fits better in Pathology...

Yeah, John is an awesome vocalist don't get me wrong but I just get bored really fast with his style. I think they kind of ran out of time with him on vocals if that makes sense. I think if he had stayed another album it would be IDW's worst just because his vocals are kind of "novelty"ish if you will.

I preferred IDW's old style, to be honest. there were more breakdowns and it sounded much heavier.

You can't say that Jamie isn't a beast of a vocalist though.

I like them both and they're both great vocalists. I really enjoy the newest album though, played through a few more times than I did with their old stuff with John. Not entirely the vocals is what makes it less enjoyable, but overall the newest album is more enjoyable to me.

If anyone is going to get crucified here it's me. I don't care too much for either of them. It isn't because they are talented. They are both insanely brutal vocalists, but the problem that I have with both of them is how little they vary when it comes to screams on the two newest albums. It's as if they are purposely trying to not only have the same pitched low every time they do one, but they also pronounce every word almost exactly the same too. If I have to pick one of them though, I'd pick Jaime simply because he does highs. Again, I do think they are great vocalists, but I just think that their music gets dull because of lack of variety in screams.

Jamie is fucking sick. He was the vocalist for Those Who Lie Beneath (I assume they aren't together naymore or have a diff vocalist now, they only put out one album in 2009) and those guys were fucking nasty. Don't get me wrong, Jon's vox were sick but this guy is wayyyy better.

They are both brutal dopage merchants, but if i had to pick one, it would be Jamie by a bees dick. Seriously, its a close fucking call. Only coz i felt like the old IDW had the same affect on me as the new Redshore (avarice of man), slightly boring and one dimensional, perhaps lacking in vocal range. But yeah, i wouldnt knock either of them back if they wanted to sing at my birthday.

Not really into IDW, i liked their new album more than their first ones though. Pure jamming shit, lol... So, the new for me.

I must be one of the few on this page that prefers Jon's vocals then hahaha
