Mine was Killswitch Engage's The End of Heartache when I was 12 (13?) . I found it in my older brother's cd collection and I instantly fell in love. That was actually my first experience with any kind of extreme music.

Yeah, Killswitch Engage for me too. I think the first songs I've listened to were Holy Diver, End Of Heartache, Rose of Sharyn and This Fire Burns Razz

Oh, and Caliban was one of the first Metalcore-bands.

Deathgaze... but I still can't fully accept the fact that they're metalcore, since there aren't any actual breakdowns in nearly any of their songs. The vocalist sounds like Santa Claus.
